Nathanael Schwarz is an attorney at the ARROWS law firm and a member of ARROWS International. He primarily focuses on complex issues related to financial market regulation. Thanks to his analytical approach and expertise in highly regulated industries, he provides valuable support to clients in addressing complex legal and compliance issues.
In his practice, Nathanael focuses primarily on licensing proceedings for regulated financial market entities. He assists with the registration of investment funds, investment companies, and payment service providers under the PSD2 Directive. A significant portion of his practice also involves the rapidly evolving field of cryptoassets (including CASP regulation and the preparation of white papers) as well as the issuance of stocks, bonds, and other investment instruments. He also ensures appropriate compliance frameworks are in place for all these areas.
In addition to transactional and regulatory matters, he has been involved in the successful recovery of lost investments and is well-versed in market abuse regulations (MAR). Furthermore, his scope extends beyond the financial sector—he focuses heavily on export compliance, particularly regarding dual-use goods, and also advises clients in other areas regulated by EU law, such as data protection (GDPR).
Nathanael is accustomed to working on cases with international implications. As part of the ARROWS International practice group, he actively participates in major transactional projects and complex regulatory matters. In his work, he emphasizes not only the precise handling of legal requirements but also ensuring that the proposed solutions always make economic sense for clients. He therefore takes a comprehensive approach to problems, is not afraid to seek innovative solutions, and is thus a meticulous and reliable partner for clients.
